Summary
Using four case studies, this report analyses how better management of freshwater resources contributes to the improvement of livelihoods of poor local communities. All four studies (in South Africa, Colombia, China and Brazil) confirm that freshwater conservation practices lead to increased income, increased well-being, and reduced vulnerability.
