Summary
The conservation of the world's forests requires the adoption of a series of measures to change the current model of destruction. Community-based forest management, which assures environmentally sustainable use while benefiting local communities, is already established in certain areas. This collection of articles examines the elements necessary - at government and local organisation level - to return the management of forests worldwide to the communities.
