Résumé
The last three decades have been a time of significant change for the forests and people of Borneo. Logging and public roads have reached the most remote villages, plantations have replaced diverse native forests, and vast strides have been made by the government to extend both the infrastructure and the ideologies for national integration. This collection of articles provides glimpses into the processes and ways that people have lived within or outside the bounds of policy and environmental constraints, and shows how they have responded to some of the most important changes in their social and physical environments.
