Analysis of Social-Ecological Systems for Community Conservation

Community Conservation Research Network
October 2016

The CCRN working group on social-ecological systems and community resilience has created a guidebook for analysing social-ecological systems. This document is a useful resource for anyone interested in studying communities through a social ecological systems lens. The information provided includes the definition of social ecological systems, a description of the key concepts and themes to analysing social-ecological systems, useful frameworks, and three case studies where communities are examined through a social ecological systems lens.
