24th - 27th November 2014, Colombo, Sri Lanka
The World Biodiversity Congress, 'integrating bio-conservation with natural heritage', took place in Colombo, Sri Lanka over the 24th - 27th of November 2014. The conference aimed to provide a scientific platform for conservation leaders, public policy makers, thinkers, practitioners, scientists, environmental advocates, and natural resource managers worldwide. Over the course of four days the conference tackled urgent and emerging international conservation needs, and highlighted the crucial role that biodiversity science plays in global society and, in particular, the global millennium goals.
