The Chimpanzee Sanctuary & Wildlife Conservation Trust (CSWCT) is a non-governmental organization committed to promote the understanding, appreciation and conservation of chimpanzees and their habitats in particular and wildlife in general.  CSWCT was established in 1998 first to provide welfare of orphaned and confiscated Chimpanzees in Uganda. In 2007, CSWCT increased its mandate to include conservation of wildlife chimpanzee populations and their habitats. CSWCT run three main programmes namely; animal welfare, conservation and environmental education. CSWCT is a recognized player under the Ministry of Tourism Wildlife and Antiquities.
