People Resources and Conservation Foundation (PRCF)

People Resources and Conservation Foundation (PRCF)

Established in 1995, PRCF is a non-government, non-membership, non-profit organization. The goal of PRCF is imbedded within its mission statement; ‘to strengthen local participation in the conservation of biodiversity and ecosystem functions, through measures that address the protection and wise use of natural resources, and the socioeconomic development and cultural revitalization of affected communities’. Since its inception, PRCF has grown steadily and now operates in several countries in Southeast Asia as a federation of semi-autonomous country programs. PRCF Federation members oversee small and high priority projects, with the long-term vision of eventually becoming independent nationally registered non-governmental organizations, such as the Yayasan PRCF Indonesia.

The People Resources and Conservation Foundation carries out projects in Myanmar, Vietnam, Indonesia, Thailand, and southern China (Guangxi).
