Contribution of fish production to farmers' subjective well-being in Vietnam - A logistic model

This paper identifies some of the determinants of subjective well-being of small-scale fish farmers in Vietnam and examines the role of earnings from fish production in generating their happiness. They find that farmers receive satisfaction from their farm working, that subjective well-being increases both with jobs satisfaction and cash earning. Education was found to interact with life satisfaction, and age was found to have a significant effect, as an income increase from fish culture being unlikely to increase the happiness of older individuals.
