Agrobiodiversity and Shade Coffee Smallholder Livelihoods: A review and Synthesis of Ten Years of Research in Central America.

The authors look at agro biodiversity research in Nicaragua and El Salvador, assessing how people benefit at a household level. In general local people benefit from income and subsistence, in order to better support agro biodiversity conservation, the authors recommend that a combination of bottom up and top down approaches are adopted.
